The old Kunming International Trade Center is being demolished.

On May 12, Kunming International Convention and Exhibition Center is carrying out the demolition of venues No. 1, 2, 3 and 7. With the demolition of the pavilion, the convention and exhibition center, which has held many major international and domestic exhibitions, will also withdraw from the historical stage and become the memory of a generation of Kunming people.

The Kunming International Convention and Exhibition Center, located in Guandu District, Kunming, was founded in 1992 and has been expanded into the largest in Yunnan Province, integrating exhibition, conference, catering, property, hotel, entertainment and other comprehensive service functions. It has held GMS international conference and many major exhibitions such as Kunming Fair and South Expo, and has been listed as one of the top ten convention and exhibition centers in China. After Kunming Dianchi International Convention and Exhibition Center was completed and put into use in 2015, it is known as the "old international trade center".

According to the planning idea of "invigorating the stock and improving the quality" put forward by the new round of land space planning in Kunming, the exhibition area land of the old International Trade Center will be used for residential land and primary and secondary school land through adjustment. At present, the demolition of Kunming International Convention and Exhibition Center is being carried out in two sections, of which the first section is Pavilion 1, 2, 3 and Pavilion 7 on one side of Guanxing Road, and the second section is Pavilion 4, 5 and 6.
