Integral Project for Goose Raising, Slaughtering and Processing of Fuyu County, Songyuan City
I. Project Introduction
1. Project Content: The goose meat is always considered as natural green food. Since ancient time, people have the habits of eating goose meat, and the goose meat is preferred by consumer due to delicious taste. The goose has overall value; there is potential relative high economic value on feather, skin, and organs. The liver of fat goose is high profitable production. The goose palms and wings are favorable healthcare foods among the public. The biology added value for goose blood and organs are even higher. The fat of goose is important raw material for producing chemical products. The other goose products also enjoy attractive price in the international market. There will be 10 Million geese slaughtered yearly with cooked goose product 2500 tons, deepfreeze goose products totaled 22.6 thousand tones, feather total 250 tons and mixed wool totaled 1000 tons.
2. Location: Xincheng Township, Fuyu County, Songyuan City, Jilin Province

Conditions: Jilin Province is big agriculture province, the income of farmers are directly related with economic development of the province which requires overall agriculture economic structure adjustment. The working conference on rural area of Jilin Province emphasis on transition form agriculture province to animal husbandry for Jilin Province. The development of grazing feeding livestock and poultry shall be taken as priority rather than grain feeding livestock and poultry. The goose is a grazing, feeding poultry featuring on fast growth, capability of careless feeding, and strong capability of anti-disease. The goose is taken as priority for promoting economic performance to develop grains-saving livestock and poultry. The goose rising with family style is habits that the rural area maintains for many years. It is expected that in 2007 the goose raising numbers will make rapid development with growth rate 30% and numbers totaled more than 60 Million thousand due to abundant goose resource. There are plenty of graze resource in Fuyu County, and Fuyu County is also major corn farming area with sufficient feed resource which has been considered as unique condition for raising goose. It can be seen that the development of slaughtering, processing, food processing, and feather processing centering on goose is wide. The project will not only create the benefits for enterprise but also drive the development of farming and animal husbandry industries to promote the transition from dual structure of "grains-distribution" to triplicate structure "grains-distribution-feeding". After the project completes, it will drive the development of relevant industries and animal husbandry industry, and transit the resource advantage to economic advantage, therefore the economic benefits and social benefits will be notably seen. The project keeps up with national developments, and it can be taken as good projects to increase and tax and farmer's income.
